Healthcare-grade environmental cleaning with clear lines between our scope and clinical responsibility
Medical office cleaning is the recurring care of patient-facing, clinical-support, administrative and common areas in an outpatient healthcare property: waiting rooms and reception, approved exam-room environmental surfaces, patient and staff restrooms, corridors, offices and break rooms. FlowerHill cleans and disinfects identified surfaces with facility-approved, EPA-registered products at label contact times, uses dedicated color-coded tools by zone, and leaves instruments, medications, specimens, sharps and devices to your clinical staff.
Areas we clean in a medical office building

- Exam and consultation roomsDesignated environmental surfaces cleaned and disinfected, exam-table exteriors, cleared counters, sinks and faucets, handles and switches, seating and floors; medications, instruments, sharps and clinical supplies stay with clinical staff.
- Minor procedure and treatment roomsPractice-specific scope defined before service: which surfaces, when, what products and contact times, who removes instruments and handles sharps, and who releases the room.
- Clinical corridors, nurse stations and workstationsFloors, handrails and wall protection, cleared surfaces and partitions around records, phones and medication-prep areas that remain under your written procedures.

What makes medical office cleaning different
- 01Cleaning, disinfection and sterilization are three thingsCleaning removes soil so a disinfectant can work; disinfection is a labeled product left wet for its contact time on an approved surface; sterilization is clinical instrument reprocessing and never a janitorial task. Our scope covers the first two on identified surfaces.
- 02More vulnerable people, more touched surfacesDoor handles, chair arms, check-in counters, faucet handles, exam-room counters and equipment handles are identified room by room with your practice, with each one assigned to FlowerHill or clinical staff so nothing is assumed.
- 03Sharps, regulated waste and body fluidsCrews do not reach into waste containers, empty sharps, compress red-bag waste or handle specimens or pharmaceutical waste. Blood and body-fluid response is assigned only to trained, equipped personnel under written exposure-control procedures.
- 04Privacy and after-hours accessNo moving documents, no viewing screens, secure key and badge handling, device restrictions and a procedure for discovered records, coordinated with locked medication rooms and your closing routine.
How we scope and price medical office cleaning
Pricing follows labor, supervision, approved products, training, access and documentation for the scope at the agreed frequency, quoted as one monthly number. Four factors drive most of it:
- 01Practice type and roomsNumber of exam, treatment and procedure rooms, the services performed in them and whether any between-patient responsibilities are assigned to us.
- 02Patient volume and hoursWaiting-room turnover, restroom demand, extended urgent-care hours and whether a day porter covers the public areas.
- 03Tenants and common areasNumber of medical tenants, property-managed lobbies, elevators and shared restrooms versus individual suite scopes and schedules.
- 04Floors, disinfection and projectsCarpet extraction, resilient floor finish care, approved disinfectants and electrostatic application where the facility approves it, plus turnover and post-construction cleaning.
A controlled walk-through with your practice manager or property manager is the only reliable way to define clinical boundaries and produce an accurate proposal.

Medical office cleaning questions we hear most
What does medical office cleaning include?
Waiting rooms, reception, approved exam-room environmental surfaces, consultation rooms, restrooms, offices, break rooms, corridors, floors, interior glass and general waste, as identified in the scope of work.
How is it different from regular office cleaning?
It adds patient-care areas, far more high-touch surfaces, approved disinfectants with required contact times, dedicated tools by zone, bodily-fluid and sharps boundaries, patient privacy rules and a written split of duties with clinical staff.
Does FlowerHill clean exam rooms and between patients?
Approved exam-room environmental surfaces, yes, once the facility identifies surfaces, products, frequencies and clinical boundaries. Between-patient cleaning is available only when it is expressly staffed in the plan; it is not part of an evening janitorial agreement.
Does FlowerHill disinfect or sterilize?
We disinfect approved environmental surfaces with facility-approved, EPA-registered products at label contact times. We do not sterilize: autoclaving, high-level disinfection and instrument reprocessing are clinical procedures.
Does FlowerHill provide electrostatic spraying?
Yes, where the facility approves the method and the product label permits electrostatic application on the intended surfaces. It supplements manual cleaning; it does not replace it.
Can FlowerHill handle blood, body fluids or sharps?
Blood and body-fluid cleanup is assigned only to trained, authorized personnel under written exposure-control, PPE, disinfectant and disposal procedures. Sharps containers, red-bag, pharmaceutical and specimen waste are not handled by cleaning staff.
Can FlowerHill guarantee infection prevention or compliance?
No cleaning contractor can guarantee that infections will not occur or that a facility is compliant. We perform the approved environmental scope in support of your infection-prevention program and document it.
How do we get a medical office cleaning proposal?
Request an on-site walk-through. We review practice types, patient areas, clinical responsibilities, floors, products, access and waste procedures, then deliver a written scope and one monthly price.
