Warehouse cleaning from the dock doors to the break room, scheduled around your shifts
Professional warehouse cleaning is the recurring and project-based care of the storage, distribution, shipping, employee and office areas of a warehouse: floor sweeping and machine scrubbing, dust and debris control, dock and staging areas, multi-shift restrooms and break rooms, attached offices and driver areas. FlowerHill builds the plan around your layout, forklift routes and operating schedule, with day porters for busy facilities and seasonal coverage for peak volume.
Areas we clean in a warehouse
- Warehouse floors and operational aislesRoutine sweeping and dust mopping, marked pedestrian pathways, spot cleaning, walk-behind and ride-on scrubbing, columns and edges, periodic deep cleaning matched to the floor coating and drying window.
- Picking, packing and fulfillment areasCardboard fibers, film and labels removed, packing-station surfaces and floors beneath workstations cleaned, waste and recycling emptied; inventory, scanners and conveyor controls left alone.
- Loading docks, receiving and stagingDock surfaces, dock-door surroundings, pedestrian walkways, packaging waste, staging zones and post-delivery cleanup, coordinated around trailers, forklifts and open dock edges.
- Storage aisles and rackingAccessible aisles and rack-base areas, cobwebs, guardrails and barriers, with obstructed aisles and damaged surfaces reported and no inventory or racking components touched.
- Mezzanines and elevated areasMezzanine floors, stairs, landings and handrails, upper-level employee walkways, with lifts, fall protection and restricted-area procedures evaluated before any elevated work.
- Restrooms, break rooms and locker areasHeavy multi-shift restroom use, concentrated shift-break food residue, tables, counters and appliance exteriors, benches and locker exteriors, restocking and odor control.
- Offices, dispatch and driver areasManagement and dispatch offices, conference rooms, reception, driver lounges and check-in rooms open for extended hours, vending areas and adjacent restrooms.
- Charging areas, waste areas and exteriorsAccess paths around forklift charging and equipment rooms when authorized; residue around waste containers and cardboard consolidation; entrance litter, mats, sidewalks and smoking areas.
What makes warehouse cleaning different
- 01Soil comes in through the dock doorsOutdoor grit, tire marks, pallet splinters and shrink wrap move with every trailer. Floor programs are built on sweeping frequency and scrubbing cadence, not mopping.
- 02Floors are the main eventSealed concrete, coatings, joints, striping and drainage decide the method and equipment. Walk-behind or ride-on scrubbing is scheduled so surfaces dry before traffic resumes.
- 03Shifts and seasonsOne to three shifts and peak-season surges in staffing, packaging and waste change where crews can work and how often. Added porter hours and post-peak deep cleaning are planned in advance.
- 04Safety boundariesForklift routes, dock restrictions, PPE and lockout requirements are documented before service. Battery charging, electrical and hazardous spills stay with qualified personnel.
How we scope and price warehouse cleaning
Pricing follows labor, supervision, equipment, access requirements and frequency for the approved scope, quoted monthly with projects as separate lines. Four factors drive most of it:
- 01Square footage and floor conditionCleanable area, ceiling height, floor material and coating, and the sweeping and scrubbing equipment the surface requires.
- 02Shifts, docks and trafficNumber of shifts, dock doors and loading activity, forklift traffic and the workforce that sets restroom and break room demand.
- 03Schedule and portersDaytime versus overnight access, weekend windows, day porter staffing and seasonal coverage.
- 04Offices, waste and projectsAttached office coverage, cardboard and recycling responsibilities, high dusting, post-construction and turnover cleaning.
A warehouse walk-through is the only reliable way to determine staffing, equipment and frequency and deliver an accurate proposal.

Warehouse cleaning questions we hear most
What does professional warehouse cleaning include?
Floor sweeping and machine scrubbing, dust and debris removal, dock and staging areas, restrooms, break rooms, waste removal, attached offices, entrances and aisles, as identified in the scope of work.
Can FlowerHill clean while the warehouse is operating?
Yes, where work zones, equipment routes, access and safety responsibilities have been established. Scrubbing and heavy floor work are usually scheduled overnight, between shifts or on weekends.
Do you provide warehouse floor scrubbing?
Yes. Walk-behind or ride-on scrubbing on sealed concrete and other suitable surfaces, scheduled so floors dry before traffic resumes.
Do you clean loading docks and racks?
Docks, yes: sweeping, debris and packaging waste, pedestrian paths and interior entrances. Racking is limited to accessible exteriors and base areas; crews do not climb racks or move inventory.
Can you clean both the warehouse and attached offices?
Yes. One plan covers warehouse areas plus management offices, conference rooms, reception, restrooms, break rooms and driver areas.
Can you remove cardboard and packaging materials?
Yes, collection and transfer of approved packaging waste to designated points. Balers, compactors, pallets, recycling vendors and final disposal are assigned in the scope.
Can you clean a refrigerated warehouse or handle hazardous spills?
Refrigerated facilities are scoped after a review of temperature, moisture, floors, PPE and sanitation requirements. Chemical releases, biohazards, combustible dust and regulated waste are not routine scope and need qualified specialists.
